Power Rods are one of those items that turn a chill Arc Raiders run into a full-on scavenger mission, especially when you're trying to fund upgrades and keep your stash healthy with ARC Raiders Coins in mind. You'll hear people swear they "always" find one, then you follow their route and come out with scrap and stress. The truth is you're hunting an epic-tier needle in a very loud haystack. So you've got to pick the right places, move with a plan, and treat every minute you're exposed like it matters.

If you want the most consistent shot, I still rate the Power Generation Complex in the northeast of the Dam Battlegrounds. Not because it's safe—it isn't—but because the loot pool makes sense there. I usually spawn, take a wide approach, and slip in through tunnels or side access to dodge the loudest squads. Once you're inside, don't just "loot rooms." Hunt specific containers: yellow breachable cabinets, breaker panels, and the chunky power boxes near big machinery. Check the upper zipline landings outside too; it's not reliable, but it's quick. The place is packed with annoying ARC threats, and the noise pulls attention fast, so clear a little space, loot fast, and don't get greedy.

Down in the lower east hallway there's that Power Rod Loot Room. Yeah, it's a joke on paper—you need a Power Rod to open a room that might give you a Power Rod. But in practice, it's often a smart trade when your squad can hold the area for a minute. Open it, scoop the epic gear, and you're suddenly walking out with better weapons, grenades, and components that pay back the "key" even if you don't get another rod. Night Raids help too, since the risk is higher but the payoff can spike. Just call your angles, keep one player watching the push lane, and don't stand in the doorway like a tourist.

When PGC is crawling with players and you're tired of getting deleted mid-loot, rotate to calmer options. Buried City rooftops can be sneaky good during a Night Raid or an Electromagnetic Storm—scan the solar panels near Piazza Rosa and keep moving. The Hydroponic Dam Complex on the east side is another quieter loop; focus on power boxes in the biggest building and bail before the area heats up. Exodus events like Rocket Assembly can pop off, but the drops feel swingy, so I treat them as a bonus, not a plan.

If RNG won't play nice, crafting saves the day: get your Refiner to Level 3 and combine two Advanced Electrical Components with two ARC Circuitry for a Power Rod. Recycling a Legendary Snap Hook works too, but it's the kind of move you regret later. The bigger issue is extraction—people lose rods because they try to "just grab one more box." Run Safe Pocket if you can, map your exit before you loot, and leave the second you hit the jackpot, even if it feels early, because that's how you keep progress steady and avoid wasting runs you could've used to stack cheap ARC Raiders Coins for the rest of your build.
